The EA App now shows your Moola balance and lists every Sims 4 Maker Pack directly in the launcher, so you can browse and buy community-created content without opening the game first.
What changed in the EA App
An update rolling out today adds two visible changes for PC and Mac players. Your current Moola balance now appears in the upper right corner of both the EA App home page and The Sims 4 section pages. And a new Maker Packs area sits inside the existing Sims 4 Add-Ons page, listing each release with its creator name, pack title, and Moola price.
Purchasing works the same way it does inside the game: Maker Packs are redeemable only through Moola, not through direct payment. Pick a pack in the EA App, confirm, and it will be downloaded and ready the next time you launch The Sims 4.
The feature was spotted by @mario_principe and reported by Sims Community earlier today.
Why the marketplace went quiet for a week
If you noticed that no new Maker Packs dropped over the past seven days, this integration is the likely reason. The Sims 4 Marketplace typically pushes several releases per week, so a full week of silence stood out. Preparing the EA App storefront for a new content type would explain the pause, and new Maker Pack releases should resume now that the update is live.
Console players are left out for now
This update applies to the EA App on PC and Mac only. Players on Xbox and PlayStation still need to launch The Sims 4 itself to view their Moola balance or browse available Maker Packs. There is no word yet on whether a similar integration is planned for console storefronts.
Putting the marketplace inside the launcher removes a real friction point, especially for players who top up Moola outside the game and want to grab new packs without a full game boot. It also gives Maker Pack creators more visibility, since their work now sits alongside official DLC in the Add-Ons list rather than being tucked away inside an in-game menu.
