Krafton has confirmed that InZOI's long-discussed Celebrity content is arriving as a full DLC in December 2026, not the free update many players expected. The announcement, shared through the latest "Brainstorming with Kjun" developer diary, positions the Celebrity DLC as the game's second expansion following Island Getaway, and based on what's been shown so far, it could be the bigger package of the two.

A new island city and a shift in scope

The Celebrity DLC adds an unnamed island city located just north of Bliss Bay, with a similarly warm climate and what appears to be a sizable map packed with buildings and infrastructure. A new neighborhood, possibly called "Rosewood Park" based on visible signage, is also part of the expansion.

The scope jump from free update to full DLC is notable. Island Getaway, InZOI's first DLC, introduced the city of Cahaya and was available for free to all players. Krafton has not confirmed whether the Celebrity DLC will follow the same pricing model. Players waiting for clarification on cost should keep an eye on future developer updates.

Music, performances, and concert planning

The headline feature set revolves around music and live performance. Players can form music groups, with a dedicated UI for scouting members based on their skills. Concert planning gets its own interface too, letting you customize visuals and stage setups with new placeable lighting and special effects.

Group performance animations were a focal point of the reveal, and singing practice is available as a self-interaction that nearby Zois can react to. Concerts can draw sizable crowds at large venues, and custom stages built with new items and lighting options round out the performance toolkit.

Auditions, acting, and the celebrity lifestyle

Beyond music, the DLC introduces an audition system with multiple judges, complete with UI showing rejection and acceptance outcomes alongside feedback. Acting practice includes rehearsing arguments and choreographed slaps, with separate animations for successful and failed attempts.

The celebrity lifestyle layer includes autograph signing, red carpet posing, professional makeup sessions, and award ceremonies with dedicated acceptance animations. A production or filming studio, award ceremony building with red carpet, and new club or lounge spaces are among the lot types shown.

Developer priorities: animations and simulation depth

Creative director Kjun's comments during the reveal signal where the team's head is at. "The depth of animations and simulation should come before new features," Kjun said, a philosophy visible in the volume of bespoke animations shown for performing, acting, and celebrity interactions.

Kjun also acknowledged ongoing pain points, noting that "right now, inZOI is better suited to playing one Zoi than playing a family" and apologizing for a frustrating bug where mods are forcibly unsubscribed. The team committed to "prioritize restoring areas where the experience has become worse than before" alongside the new content push.

What we still do not know

Krafton has not announced a price for the Celebrity DLC, the official name of the new city, or whether some of the showcased features will arrive through a concurrent free patch. With InZOI's PS5 version pushed to the first half of 2027, this expansion is also PC-only for now. December is not far off, and players should expect more details in the weeks ahead.
