The Sims Team has opened a new public survey asking players which CAS and Build/Buy items they want to see added to The Sims 4. The survey closes on September 21st, 2026 at 5:00 PM Pacific Time, giving the community about five days to weigh in.

Unlike the private Maker Packs survey that went out earlier this month, this one is open to everyone. You can take the survey here.

The Sims 4 Launches CAS and Build/Buy Player Feedback Survey

What the survey covers

The questionnaire is split into four categories, each with a long list of options to choose from:

Furniture has 58 choices spanning beds, sofas, dining tables in three sizes (round, short, and long), lighting options, kitchen fixtures, toddler and infant furniture, storage pieces, and more. Standouts on the list include shower/tub combos, curio cabinets, retail display shelves, and TV stands.

Architecture and Build has 22 options covering structural and decorative elements: windows, doors, stairs, columns, archways, spandrels, chimneys, fences and gates, railings, flooring, wall paint, wallpaper patterns, roof trims and shingles, and several pool features like pool lights, trim, and ladders.

Objects lists 34 items, from planted pots in every size and placement to musical instruments (grand piano, violin, guitar, microphone), exercise equipment, electronics like laptops and desktop computers, and various clutter categories for kitchens, bathrooms, and desks.

CAS is the largest section at 52 options. It covers clothing across all age groups (toddler, child, infant, and adult), hair types including textured hair, accessories like piercings and hand jewelry, facial hair styles, makeup categories, tattoos, scars, medical wearables, nails, and skin details like freckles and lashes.

On top of the multiple-choice sections, the survey also includes two open-ended questions: what clutter item you most want that is not already in the game, and what your favorite room to build is.

Cosmetic only, no new gameplay

The survey makes clear that it is focused on "visual/cosmetic content." Any items that come out of this feedback process would not include new gameplay mechanics, functionality, or animations. The Sims Team also notes the survey is for feedback gathering only and does not confirm that any specific item or theme will be added.

That said, this is one of the more detailed public feedback opportunities The Sims Team has offered this year. If you have strong feelings about shower/tub combos, textured hair options, or the severe lack of indoor trash cans, now is the time to say so.

The survey closes September 21st at 5:00 PM PT.
