The Paralives team has dropped two teasers for the game's next patch, and they cover wildly different ground: paid tutoring sessions for young Paras and what appears to be a crime scene floor stencil.

Both reveals are for a near-term update, separate from the larger free expansion the team has planned for later this year.

Extra classes to boost school grades

The first teaser, shared at the start of September, showed off a new option for kid Paras who are struggling academically. Players can spend 150 Paradimes to enroll a child in an extra class, choosing from Science, Parli, Physical Education, Art, Music, or Math. Each session is meant to bump up the kid's school performance, giving players a direct way to intervene when grades start slipping.

It is a small but welcome addition to the elementary school system, which until now has offered limited ways to influence how well a young Para does in class.

Crime scene stencils raise questions

The second teaser landed today and took a sharp turn. The team previewed floor stencils depicting a crime scene outline, accompanied by the caption: "we know you're simply dying to find out what new items our major update will include."

Whether this hints at actual criminal activity gameplay or is simply a decorative build-mode item is still unclear. The Paralives team has not confirmed any crime or mystery mechanics for this patch, so for now it reads as a fun set piece for storytelling-focused builders. The team says more details will come in the next few days.

What to expect

Since launching into Early Access earlier this year with strong community reception, Paralives has kept a steady cadence of patches adding quality-of-life fixes and new content. This next update looks like another incremental step rather than a major feature drop, but the crime scene tease leaves room for surprises.

We will update once the full patch notes are available.
