The Sims 4's September 22 base game update shipped more than bug fixes. A free content drop adds new Create a Sim items for children and toddlers alongside Build/Buy furniture aimed at younger Sims, all themed around heading back to school.
New CAS items for kids and toddlers
Children get six new CAS assets, headlined by a ponytail-with-bangs hairstyle and three existing adult hairstyles now converted for the child age group. New clothing rounds out the set. Toddlers pick up three CAS assets of their own, giving them a few more outfit and styling options in the base game.
Six new Styled Looks ship alongside the items, so players who want a quick starting point for their Sims' first-day-of-school outfits can browse those directly in CAS.
Eight Build/Buy items and a new Styled Room
On the building side, the drop includes eight kid-focused Build/Buy objects. EA describes them as pieces for bedrooms, homework corners, and wind-down spaces. A new base game Styled Room pulls several of the items together as a preset layout.
Gallery families
Seven pre-made Sims are now available in the Gallery: four children, two toddlers, and one elder caretaker. The official description leaves the elder's role open, suggesting she could be a grandmother, a neighborhood babysitter, or whatever fits your household story. Each Gallery Sim uses the new Styled Looks, so downloading them doubles as a preview of the added CAS content.
This content drop is part of the same patch that delivered over 95 bug fixes, including long-requested changes to autonomous dancing and family dynamics. Both the cosmetic content and the fixes are live now for all players as a free base game update.
