The Sims Team is asking players directly: what CAS and Build items do you want more of? A new public survey went live today, and it closes on September 21 at 5:00 PM Pacific Time.

What the survey covers

This survey focuses strictly on visual and cosmetic content. The Sims Team notes upfront that responses will only inform potential additions that are cosmetic in nature, so items with new gameplay, functionality, or animations are off the table here.

Players are asked to pick from long lists in four categories:

  • Furniture spans 58 options, from shower/tub combos and indoor trashcans to toddler high chairs, curio cabinets, retail display shelves, and multiple bed types.
  • Architecture and Build includes 22 choices covering windows, doors, stairs, archways, spandrels, chimneys, pool lights, fences, railings, and various wall and floor patterns.
  • Objects lists 34 items like kitchen clutter, planted pots in various sizes, a grand piano, chess table, wedding arch, dishwasher, and workout equipment.
  • CAS offers 52 options ranging from textured hair and piercings to medical wearables, facial hair styles, nail options, leg accessories like tights and stockings, and infant and toddler clothing.

Two open-ended questions round out the survey: one asking which clutter item you most want that is not already in the game, and another about your favorite room to build.

How this differs from the Maker Packs survey

Earlier this month, The Sims Team ran a separate, private survey about Maker Packs. That one was invite-only. This new survey is open to everyone and specifically targets base cosmetic additions rather than community-created pack content.

How to participate

You can take the survey directly through Alchemer. The deadline is September 21, 2026 at 5:00 PM PT. The team has been clear that completing the survey does not guarantee any specific item will be added, but it will shape their understanding of what players are prioritizing.

Given how active The Sims Team has been with community feedback this month, including a recent Discord Q&A about the September 22 patch, this is a good window to weigh in on what your builds and Sims closets are missing.
