EA dropped two new themed bundles for The Sims 4 today with zero fanfare. The Cozy Dark Academia Collection and the Great Outdoors Collection are both live on the EA App as of November 5th, and they are noticeably larger than the four permanent bundles that have been available for a while.
Neither bundle was announced through official EA channels. Players and community sites spotted them appearing on the storefront alongside a busy day for the Sims 4 Marketplace, which also saw new Maker Packs go live.
What is in the Cozy Dark Academia Collection
This bundle packages five items together around a bookish, autumnal, slightly supernatural theme:
- The Sims 4: Seasons (Expansion Pack)
- The Sims 4: Discover University (Expansion Pack)
- The Sims 4: Realm of Magic (Game Pack)
- The Sims 4: Crystal Creations (Stuff Pack)
- The Sims 4: Autumn Apparel Kit
Seasons brings weather and holidays to every world. Discover University adds the college experience, including classes tied to the engineering, education, and law careers. Realm of Magic introduces spellcasting, potions, wands, and the hidden floating world of Glimmerbrook. Crystal Creations lets Sims craft and charge gem jewelry that affects moods, relationships, and careers. The Autumn Apparel Kit rounds it out with layered cold-weather fashion, scarves, beanies, and boots.
Buying these five packs individually would cost $114.95 USD. The bundle applies a 25% discount, bringing the total to $86.20 USD.
What is in the Great Outdoors Collection
The second bundle leans into exploration and nature with a different five-pack lineup:
- The Sims 4: Seasons (Expansion Pack)
- The Sims 4: Adventure Awaits (Expansion Pack)
- The Sims 4: Outdoor Retreat (Game Pack)
- The Sims 4: Jungle Adventure (Game Pack)
- The Sims 4: Little Campers Kit
Again, Seasons anchors the bundle. Adventure Awaits adds Getaways, custom venues, and expanded childhood gameplay including Imaginary Friends. Outdoor Retreat opens up Granite Falls for camping trips, fishing, herbalism, and a hermit hiding in the deep woods. Jungle Adventure takes Sims to Selvadorada for temple exploration, cursed relics, and local culture. The Little Campers Kit contributes backyard camping gear and blanket forts for family nights.
The individual price for these five packs totals $124.95 USD. A 20% bundle discount brings the price to $99.95 USD.
How these compare to existing bundles
The four permanent Sims 4 bundles (Love & Family, Pet Lovers, Decorator's Dream, and Everyday Sims) are priced between $49.99 and $59.99 USD. Both new bundles are significantly more expensive, though they also include more content, with two expansion packs each rather than one.
Worth noting: the EA App already has a "Stack & Save" feature that lets players build their own custom bundles at a discount. If you already own one or two of the packs in either collection, building your own bundle with the remaining packs you want might get you a better deal than buying a pre-made collection where you are paying for items you already have. These pre-built bundles do not appear to adjust their price based on owned content.
Both bundles share Seasons as a common pack, so picking up both would mean paying for Seasons twice unless you already own it through one of them.
Both collections are available now on the EA App. You can find the full pack descriptions and screenshots over at Sims Community.
